Summer Holidays in Thailand
May and June are school holidays in India. In Thailand it is the start of the green season: hot, with short showers, fewer tourists and lower hotel prices. Pattaya, Bangkok and Koh Samui stay good for families.
Tips for Summer Holidays
- Families: Pattaya has water parks, Nong Nooch garden and Coral Island; Bangkok has Safari World and the aquarium.
- Koh Samui has its dry season in June and July while the Andaman side is rainy.
- Hotel prices are lower than in winter, so upgrade to a pool resort for the same money.
- Carry light rain jackets for short afternoon showers.
Best cities: Pattaya, Bangkok, Koh Samui
